Orville Redenbacher Popcorn Recall Due To Allergen
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and ConAgra Foods issued an Orville Redenbacher popcorn recall due to undeclared milk, saying the 5.0-ounce and 1.5-ounce bags of popcorn may have been filled with white cheddar popcorn inadvertently.
According to the Safety Recall notice, the voluntary popcorn recall was issued because the mis-filled bags of ready-to-eat popcorn contain milk, an allergen that was not declared on the products label. The Orville Redenbacher Popcorn Recall notice says a consumer discovered white cheddar popcorn in a Kettle Korn bag and notified the company. No illnesses have been reported regarding the recalled product and that the popcorn is only a health concern to those who have milk sensitivities or allergies. ConAgra says that consumers should destroy the product and contact 866-518-4177 for a replacement.
